Experience
Dr Edward Gifford is a coach, trainer, speaker and author. With extensive experience in education, consultancy and research, Edward specialises in coaching and the training of executive, life, and business coaches. Since 1999, Edward has been running his own coaching; training and consulting company in Queensland called On-Purpose Partners.  Previously, Edward was a Senior Lecturer in Education (University Sector) for 25 years and brings “fresh eyes” and an evidence based approach to his coaching, facilitating and training.

Edward’s specialist consulting services focus on executive and career coaching, life coaching, business development and mentoring, work-life integration, strategic thinking, team building and leadership development. His highly developed interpersonal skills and enthusiasm, as well as his substantial experience and knowledge, have significantly contributed to personal and organisational transformation.

Edward is passionate about improving the purpose, performance and productivity of organisations through leadership and people development, team building, using an integrative work-life framework, and “getting everyone on the same page”.  As evidence of his passion and ability, Edward has also led his coaching academy over the past 10 years, and has developed and implemented a number of highly acclaimed leadership and coaching products.

Angela has extensive experience in education, consultancy and research.  She is a coach, trainer, researcher and writer with over 1500 hours 1/1 coaching. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (or Training) also known as ACT is a methodology Angela finds works with clients both at the personal and organisational level and she has done several courses in ACT to enhance her skills using this approach.

Angela is passionate about the ‘human factor’ in business.  She views each person in an organisation as having ‘significance’ and sees individual, group or organisational dysfunction as a symptom of meaninglessness and purposelessness.  Her preferred coaching model – ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Training)  is a model for optimal psychological functioning.  It lends itself ideally to educating towards behavioural change in a non-condemnatory manner.

The prospect of helping people in organisations and businesses find their way to what constitutes a full and meaningful life lived in alignment with their values, despite what life might present to them, is most attractive to Angela. Put simply, all humans have ‘stuff’ in their lives to deal with. Organisations and businesses are made up of humans dealing (or not dealing) with ‘stuff’ and who bring it to the workplace, often to the detriment of their work.  It makes economic and business sense to help them learn and apply proven strategies to handle their issues.

As evidence of her energy and interest, Angela has been involved in the running of the coaching programs over the past 10 years, undertaking a variety of roles. This might be administration, research, writing, being a sounding board, a presenter or proof reader.  Jointly, Edward and Angela have developed and implemented a number of highly acclaimed leadership and coaching products.
