Ted Scott | Strategic Partners & Associates | About Us

Management Consultant Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics. Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Order of Australia in the General Division in 2004 for his contribution to industry.
Ted made a career in management in the Electricity Industry in Queensland. He managed many power stations. His final role as a power station manager was at Stanwell Power Station. There he implemented innovative management practices that led to Stanwell having the highest levels of labour productivity of any Australian power station.
This was exemplified by the fact that Stanwell is run with approximately half the number of staff of equivalent power stations elsewhere. Stanwell has received many awards (including one international award) for its productive work culture and innovative use of technology. Ted's management career culminated with his term as Chief Executive Officer of Stanwell Corporation. He led this organization during the transition into the competitive electricity market. In 1999 Stanwell was assessed by the Electricity Supply Association of Australia (ESAA) as the top performing generator in Australia. His management ability was recognised by the Financial Review's Boss magazine in 2001 when he was nominated as one of Australia's top thirty business leaders.
Ted is the co-author of the books "Humanity at Work" and "The Myth of Nine to Five" with Dr Phil Harker. He has written and recently published "Augustus Finds Serenity."
He now owns and runs Human Factor Australia working as a management consultant. He specialises in change management, strategic planning and executive coaching. Ted has coached approximately 50 senior executives in the last eight years.
Some of the other roles that he currently performs include, Chair of the CRC for Integrated Engineering Asset Management, Chair of the Fitzroy Basin Association, and Board Member of The Regional Groups Collective. He has previously held the roles of Chair of the Institute for Sustainable Regional Development, Chair of Djarragun College, Chair of Rockhampton Regional Development, Chair of the Regional Council of Commerce Queensland, Board Member of Commerce Queensland, Board Member of the Beacon Foundation and Member of the Council for the Central Queensland University.
