The On-Purpose Secret for Success 1 - Your BEST year yet – Hit 2006 for Six!

Can you believe how quickly 2005 came and went? As you commence 2006, I'm sure you have great hopes and aspirations for the coming year and that you want 2006 to be your BEST year yet. Taking the letters of the word BEST we have pleasure in offering some secrets on how you can really make this year your BEST.

Blessings

  • In your prayers and meditations be bold and ask God to bless you. Blessings are not selfish. Blessings are asked and given so they can be passed on to others. The ripple effect will be overflowing as you pass on 'cloudbursts' of blessings to others.
  • Dream big, ask for the extraordinary and the special with belief, expectation and without fear. There is a catch. You will be held responsible for your life's productivity.

Enlarge your territory

Most of us settle for way too little. Expand your self-imposed boundaries. Blast away fear, pain, sorrow, self-doubt, troubled pasts, blame, ancient history and anything else that keeps you locked in your comfort zone. By building a better you, you will build a better year and your life and work will automatically become "bigger".

Stay aligned to your purpose and priorities

  • Nothing gives greater peace of mind, fulfilment and meaning to life than knowing your purpose and living it out seven days a week. Purpose is your spiritual DNA, your "plumb line", your reason for being. It's why you exist. Remember, a person without a clear purpose is like a ship without a rudder.
  • Whenever you say "yes" to anything this year, ensure that it aligns with your Purpose. Don't let this year be filled yet unfulfilled. Let your Purpose be the first thing you think about each day and the last thing you meditate on each night.
  • Ensure you develop your Top priorities for each of your seven life areas (Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical/Health, Family, Social, Financial and Vocational). What a great year you will have when you replace confusion with clarity. These are the things that matter most in your life. Action them, stay focussed on them daily and invite a buddy to help you stay On-Purpose.

Take time to smell the roses

  • All work and no play make for a very boring and off-purpose you. Go to the movies, play some sport, go out with friend, play with your kids, take your special someone out for dinner, smile, laugh, have fun. Get some fun back into 2006. Remember, no one ever went to their grave wishing they had spent more time at the office.

We wish you a very happy New Year and may 2006 be your BEST year yet.
