  • The diagnostic/check list will be a wonderful bonus for those attending.

Topic Two

  • Putting “Tingle” back into “Technical” OR
  • Being a TOP (The On-Purpose) Performer at Work

This one hour address/and or two hour workshop will redefine what it means to be a “TOP” Performer.  While it is true that “top performers” work hard, deliver results and exceed expectations, there is something more to it.  They are also motivated by the satisfaction that comes from being “on-purpose”.  They understand how they fulfil the needs of others and love what they do.

If you want to know why you get out of bed each day and how to put some spice and tingle back into your work, then this is for you.  This is only for the corporately courageous. It is challenging, fun, and energetic, with great content/learning experiences and tools to take with you wherever you work. Don’t miss out on one of Australia’s best kept secrets.

Key Takeaways

  • Clear understanding of what it means to be a TOP Performer
  • TOP Performers can be found at all levels of an organisation – from the Board Room to the Mail Room
  • Understanding of what motivates you and how to align your purpose with the organisation
  • How to adopt the mindset of a TOP Performer
  • Learn a method for creating TOP Performance
  • How to manage your work and do more of what you do best.

Topic Three

  • Meaningful workplace cultures in an Age of Purpose AND/OR
  • Successful organisations of the future will be built on a “spiritual” base OR
  • “Amazing! We are all on the same page!”

Underlying Assumptions

Current trends in business worldwide are focusing on the strategic importance of the people within the organization.  People performance is now a key strategic driver and is now a measurable strategic imperative.

  • Workplace cultures will be greatly enhanced where individuals have a sense of belonging to the organization. Discouraged and disempowered employees never make organizations “winners” in a globalizing economic environment.
  • The workplace of the future will only be effective if built on an understanding of shared values, and agreement on core beliefs and about the nature of humanity that gives substance to those shared values.
  • Successful organisations of the future will need to have a well developed philosophy which embodies their collective views on human nature; what is important to people; how to work together, develop and mature to ensure an alignment between the purpose of the individual and the purpose of the organisation.
  • Cultural change will take place in an environment where the individuals are empowered to take responsibility for their feelings, attitudes and behaviours.
  • When individuals understand what motivates them and they find expression for this meaning in the workplace, a more positive culture will be developed.
  • Cultural change can only come about and be sustained when individuals change at the core and understand what it means to be human.
  • Positive workplace cultures will only be sustained long term where the core motive of individuals is based on trust not fear.
  • Purpose is the only meaningful link between a person and an organization.  People find meaning in their work when their purpose aligns with the purpose of the organisation.  There also needs to be an alignment of the staff goals with the organisation’s goals.
  • Success in the knowledge economy requires a focus on people – employees and customers.  Now and into the future, effective organisations will be characterised by collaboration and interdependence.
  • Successful organisations will need to seek a future in which an enterprise will advance its self–interest while enhancing the humanity of its people and the welfare of the community.
  • If you build the people you will build a successful organisation long term.
  • People are the major drivers of profit and happy people make happy staff, make happy teams make happy customers (make happy shareholders).
  • By developing the right working environment, organisations will retain its people and will become a preferred employer.
  • When individuals have the opportunity to do more of what they do best, this will result in higher productivity and enhanced performance.
  • Leaders have many roles but ultimately they are responsible for helping individuals in their organisation reach their full humanity.
  • While the development of the skills training goes some way to developing its staff, On-Purpose Partners, believes that employees need both ‘high technical’ and ‘high tingle’.  In other words, they not only need to be good at what they do but an organisation needs to create a culture whereby they are fulfilled and inspired in what they do.

Key Takeaways

  • A clear understanding of how the world of work is changing and that the workplaces of the future will only be effective if built on the understanding of shared purpose and values, and an agreement of core beliefs about the nature of humanity that gives substance to those shared values.
  • A fully integrated approach to help solve many of the existing HR challenges in business and organisations today.
  • A consistent framework for designing, developing and implementing “The On-Purpose HR Service Model” so that everyone in the organisation, from the mail room to the board room, is ‘on the same page’.
  • How and organisation can advance its self-interest while enhancing the humanity and welfare of its people and the community.
  • More loyal and committed employees and an increase in productivity and performance.
